A ride on a replica of the Tanana Valley Railroad, a walk through Dredge No. 8 on the Goldstream Valley tailings, a mining museum and a hands-on panning session - this is the polished version of a Fairbanks gold day, and the whole thing runs about two hours. The dredge chewed its way through the valley from the late 1920s onward and now anchors the museum. Whatever gold you wash out is yours to keep.
